What's this about?

Ladies and gents our story begins with our author who one day packed up his bags to spend the next 5 years of his life on some tropical island far far away. This land is not like any place he has ever been to before. There is no telling of what he may encounter during his stay there but one thing is sure he is going to be in for one crazy adventure. And this is where you get to read about it.

Round 2

Well, I'm back on the island. Why? I don't know. Could be because I'm a sadist. Anyways, I have been back for about three weeks now and I can say besides some minor details not much has actually changed. So I would say this time around my chances are

4:5 I'll succumb to a parasitic disease
3:5 perish from a tropical disease other than parasitic
3:5 get taken out by a tricycle while crossing the street
9:10 meets my demise by other causes
1:500 actually survives the year unscathed
